Key Responsibilities:

 Revenue & Billing Management

  • File and manage all insurance and Medicaid claims and appeals for Texas Hearing Institute

  • Resolve underpayments and denials through insurer/Medicaid provider communications

  • Enter and post service-related payments into IMS software

  • Monitor and maintain clean client accounts—issue refunds, adjust entries, notify clients of balances

  • Prepare, correct, and submit insurance claims accurately and on time

  • Process claim edits via internal queues and external billing software

 Reporting & Compliance

  • Assist Senior Revenue Cycle Manager with accounts receivable (A/R) tasks

  • Stay informed of insurance/Medicaid policy changes and communicate updates internally

  • Support accuracy and compliance in revenue cycle workflows

Additional Duties:

  • Serve as backup for THI Verification Specialist and Front Desk (Receptionist) when needed

  • Provide excellent customer service and support across departments

Qualifications:

 Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

 Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of insurance claims/billing experience

 Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Familiarity with internet-based claim filing and basic PC tools

  • Ability to organize tasks and maintain reliability

  • Experience with spreadsheets, email, and faxing

Tools & Technology:

  • IMS (billing software – training provided)

  • Desktop/Laptop computers, iPad, fax machine, scanner, copier, postage meter

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Internet tools
