This role is ideal for someone who can blend strong communication skills with high-level organisation and IT competency, ensuring patients receive a seamless and caring experience from first contact to appointment.
Key Responsibilities
Communication & Relationship Building

Provide empathetic and tactful communication with patients and their carers.

Support patients who may be unaware of the urgency of their condition.

Handle emotionally sensitive situations with care, including upset or distressed individuals.
Analytical Skills

Use judgement to assess imaging enquiries and referral information.

Resolve appointment scheduling issues while balancing staff availability and patient needs.
Organisation & Planning

Manage your own workload efficiently, prioritising tasks and coordinating schedules.

Flexibly adapt to service needs and changing demands.
Policy & Service Development

Contribute to ongoing improvements and clinical governance within your role.
Use of Resources

Handle NHS equipment responsibly, ensuring care and safety in its use.

Information & IT Systems

Use a variety of essential systems including:

MS Outlook, Teams, Excel

Radiology Information System (CRIS)

Hospital Information System (Cerner)

Learning & Development

Stay informed on developments within imaging administration.

Share best practices and contribute to service enhancements.

Participate in training, with a structured onboarding plan (6–12 months).
