Job Purpose

The BOSS HS POD Instructor delivers high-quality instruction in a blended learning environment, combining traditional teaching with online learning methods. The role is designed to inspire, support, and prepare high school students for academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Learning

• Design and deliver engaging lessons using both classroom and digital methods.

• Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.

• Incorporate real-world applications and differentiated teaching strategies.

• Support digital literacy and prepare students for state-mandated tests.

Student Development & Support

• Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including IEPs.

• Foster a positive and safe classroom environment.

• Build strong, supportive relationships with students.

Collaboration & Curriculum

• Work with colleagues to align curriculum and instructional goals.

• Contribute to curriculum updates and integration of new resources.

• Stay current with educational technology and best practices.

School & Community Engagement

• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress.

• Participate in extracurricular activities and school culture initiatives.

• Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).

• Valid teaching certification in relevant subject/grade level.

• Experience with blended/virtual learning models.

• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners.

• Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), video conferencing, and online assessment tools.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• POD site setting with both in-person and online teaching.

• Requires extended computer use, standing, sitting, and walking.

FLSA Status

Exempt (not eligible for minimum wage or overtime provisions).
