Key Responsibilities of a Brand Manager
Brand Strategy & Positioning
- Partner with senior brand marketing leaders to define brand foundations: target audience, value proposition, and positioning
- Build strategies that align with the overall brand portfolio and company vision
Market Insights & Go-To-Market Planning
- Analyze consumer data, competitor trends, and market performance to identify opportunities
- Translate insights into actionable plans, including integrated GTM strategies and clear creative briefs
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with sales, operations, product strategy, and creative teams to align marketing execution
- Support sales enablement tools and strategies to help drive channel performance
Brand Stewardship & Performance
- Provide brand oversight across creative development, messaging, and campaigns
- Track budgets, monitor ROI, and recommend optimizations based on campaign data
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, including packaging, labeling, and marketing collateral
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of brand or product management experience (CPG, cannabis, or regulated industries preferred)
- Proven success in GTM planning, marketing execution, and ROI analysis
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Knowledge of cannabis consumer culture strongly preferred
- Ability to travel 25–35%
