Key Responsibilities of a Brand Manager

Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Partner with senior brand marketing leaders to define brand foundations: target audience, value proposition, and positioning
  • Build strategies that align with the overall brand portfolio and company vision

Market Insights & Go-To-Market Planning

  • Analyze consumer data, competitor trends, and market performance to identify opportunities
  • Translate insights into actionable plans, including integrated GTM strategies and clear creative briefs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with sales, operations, product strategy, and creative teams to align marketing execution
  • Support sales enablement tools and strategies to help drive channel performance

Brand Stewardship & Performance

  • Provide brand oversight across creative development, messaging, and campaigns
  • Track budgets, monitor ROI, and recommend optimizations based on campaign data
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, including packaging, labeling, and marketing collateral

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years of brand or product management experience (CPG, cannabis, or regulated industries preferred)
  • Proven success in GTM planning, marketing execution, and ROI analysis
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Knowledge of cannabis consumer culture strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel 25–35%
