What You’ll Do

As a Bulk Truck Operator / CDL Driver, you’ll safely and efficiently operate Dyno Nobel trucks and specialty equipment to deliver commercial explosives to our customers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of the local SME (Site Mixed Emulsion) plant, managing chemical solutions, and overseeing loading/unloading operations.

  • Safely drive various delivery vehicles to transport explosive products to customer or company sites, navigating challenging terrain including mine roads, quarries, and off-road locations.

  • Operate bulk/SME trucks to prepare and deliver quality explosives products to sites.

  • Use rigid-frame, engine-powered machines (e.g., skid steer) and associated equipment (e.g., trailers) for on-site operations.

  • Perform minor mechanical repairs and troubleshooting on equipment in the field as needed.

  • Calibrate equipment, calculate fuel percentages, and check emulsion density for quality control.

  • Load/unload trucks and maintain inventory, ensuring proper storage and handling.

  • Adhere to safety procedures to maintain safe working conditions while on-site, operating equipment, and driving.

  • Complete and maintain all required records and reports related to the transportation and handling of explosive materials, ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Apply company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines consistently to ensure safe operations.

  • Ensure the safety of all crew members and others on-site, supporting safe and successful events.

  • Occasionally work at other sites (e.g., Rathdrum, ID or Oakland, OR) as needed.


What We’re Looking For

  • Required: CDL Class A or B license

  • Required: Air brake and tanker endorsements

  • Preferred: Hazmat endorsement

  • Must pass an ATF background check to possess explosives

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively

  • Must be at least 21 years old

  • Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 60 lbs repeatedly throughout the day

  • Availability for early morning start times (8-14 hours daily, Monday-Friday)
