Business Analyst – Hybrid Role (Solihull, West Midlands)
Location: This role requires attendance at our Head Office in Monkspath, near Solihull, every 1-2 weeks. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Solution Strategy & Analysis team, working across both business and IT projects.
In this role, you will manage functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring they are gathered, analyzed, specified, and verified from an end-to-end perspective. You will oversee these requirements through solution design to final delivery, documenting solution needs with business process modeling and supporting implementation.
Essential Skills & Experience:
✅ Proven experience in a Business Analyst role
✅ Strong understanding of project lifecycles and delivery processes
✅ Experience in Operational and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
✅ Proficient in Data Mapping and conducting As-Is & To-Be process modeling workshops
✅ Ability to collaborate with business and IT teams for new system implementations or enhancements
✅ Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
✅ Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
✅ Strong problem-solving skills with a logical, practical approach
✅ Excellent oral & written communication and stakeholder management skills
✅ Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
🔹 Degree or equivalent experience
🔹 Experience in retail or hospitality industries
🔹 Familiarity with ITIL principles
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project requirements, scope, and deliverables
- Document business requirements in clear, business-friendly language, including process flows
- Engage stakeholders to ensure buy-in for As-Is & To-Be process modeling
- Oversee business analysis activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct peer reviews & workshops to ensure quality and clarity of requirements
- Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to drive innovation and process improvements
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Develop user documentation and training materials
- Adapt to both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
