Business Analyst

Role Summary
As the Product Manager for our Loan Origination System (LOS), you will drive the product lifecycle from concept to release. You will own the roadmap, craft epics and user stories, lead agile ceremonies, oversee UAT, and integrate market insights into product planning. Working closely with sales, you’ll support demos and client engagements. Your mission: deliver impactful features on time and keep the team aligned and focused.

Core Responsibilities

Product Vision & Roadmap

• Maintain a three-month rolling roadmap aligned with company OKRs

• Review and refine the roadmap monthly with the CTO and Development Manager

Backlog Management & Ticket Quality

• Create detailed epics and break them into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria

• Collaborate with the Solution Engineer for technical validation and the Client Success Representative for business context before grooming

Agile Ceremonies

• Prepare agendas and lead or co-host pre-grooming, grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

• Record key decisions and follow through on action items

Stakeholder Alignment

• Present upcoming releases to leadership and sales

• Share a concise monthly roadmap update with the entire organization

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Plan and lead UAT cycles, including demo data prep, client approvals, and issue tracking

Client & Market Research

• Conduct client interviews and competitor analysis to identify valuable product opportunities

• Translate insights into backlog updates and roadmap adjustments

Sales Enablement

• Join client demos and sales meetings to communicate product value and gather feedback

• Provide supporting materials such as demo scripts or slide decks

Metrics & Documentation

• Monitor team velocity, burndown rates, and release cadence

• Maintain up-to-date documentation in Confluence, including product flows, data dictionaries, and decision logic

Scope & Collaboration

• Own roadmap prioritization, backlog quality, and UAT outcomes

• Collaborate closely while respecting boundaries:

  • Client Success handles ongoing client communications

  • Solution Engineer manages deep technical architecture

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years in Product Management, Business Analysis, or a similar role within SaaS or FinTech

• Strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence

• Experience writing effective epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria

• Skilled in leading agile ceremonies and working cross-functionally

• Familiarity with loan origination, lending workflows, or banking compliance

• Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal

• Willing and able to work onsite in Glendale, CA

• Experience in home improvement financing or consumer lending

• Basic SQL or data analysis skills

• Previous involvement in supporting sales demos
