Risepoint is looking for a motivated Business Analyst to join our team and support our mission of expanding access to affordable, workforce-relevant education. Since 2007, we’ve partnered with regional universities to bring their academic programs online, helping working professionals and adult students succeed. In this role, the Business Analyst will act as a subject matter expert, bridge communication between stakeholders and technical teams, and ensure systems and processes align with business needs. Business Analyst Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, you will be the key link between business partners, product owners, and development teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Gathering and documenting requirements from stakeholders and translating them into system solutions.

  • Reviewing current processes and user behaviors to recommend improvements.

  • Conducting gap analyses to identify business opportunities.

  • Writing user stories in an Agile framework and ensuring development clarity.

  • Monitoring and resolving system issues with timely solutions.

  • Creating as-is and to-be process maps to support business alignment.

  • Collaborating with QA to validate test cases and ensure requirements are met.

  • Identifying opportunities for improved data quality and reporting.

  • Building positive business relationships across teams.

  • Managing multiple priorities independently.


Business Analyst Qualifications

To succeed as a Business Analyst, you should bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, product analysis, or technical support.

  • Higher education industry experience (preferred).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex systems.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to build strong relationships across all business levels.

  • Experience working independently and managing multiple projects.

  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
