About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Business Analyst to join our Transportation Department team. This role is perfect for entry-level professionals eager to build expertise in client process assessment, requirements gathering, and system testing. As a Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between business users and developers by documenting requirements, creating user stories, and supporting Agile project delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Assess client practices and understand business processes aligned with industry trends and project goals.

  • Translate user needs into clear software requirements, specifications, wireframes, and flowcharts.

  • Document user stories and design documents for development teams.

  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions and brainstorm system solutions.

  • Test system functionality in Quality Control (QC) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments.

  • Recommend improvements by studying products and analyzing client requirements.

  • Manage multiple projects, adjusting priorities and deadlines as needed.

  • Apply Agile Scrum methodologies to manage and track project delivery.

  • Create and maintain project documentation, user stories, and defect tracking in Jira.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Engineering Managers to meet project milestones.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong documentation, analytical, and conceptual skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related experience.

  • Experience in technical writing.

  • Certified Product Owner (CPO) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with Jira.

  • Knowledge of land and property recording systems at county, parish, or state levels is a plus.
