About the Role
ALTA IT Services is seeking a Lead Business Analyst for a 3-month remote contract with a prominent national health insurance client. This role focuses on clinical letter development in the healthcare domain, leveraging FICO Blaze integrated with HealthEdge’s GuidingCare platform.
The Lead Business Analyst will drive the full lifecycle of requirements gathering, design, validation, and system analysis, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality deliverables. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in FICO Blaze-GuidingCare integrations.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, configuration, and validation of clinical letters using FICO Blaze, integrated with GuidingCare.

Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into clear specifications, process flows, and business rules.

Conduct requirements sessions, design reviews, and act as SME for clinical communication workflows.

Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including planning, execution, defect resolution, and compliance validation.

Document business requirements, functional specs, and process diagrams to support cross-team communication.

Collaborate with IT, business, and vendor teams to resolve system issues and compliance gaps.

Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process improvements and strategic insights.
Qualifications
Required:
-
5–8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in healthcare or health insurance.

Hands-on expertise with FICO Blaze for business rules and clinical/member communications.

Strong knowledge of GuidingCare workflows and letter generation processes.

Familiarity with CMS regulations, payer documentation, and healthcare compliance.

Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
Preferred:
-
Experience with HealthEdge systems.

Knowledge of Utilization Management and Care Management workflows.

Experience with rule-based documentation tools like FICO Blaze.

Certified Product Owner (CPO) or PMI-ACP certification.
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $57/hour
