In this Business Analyst role, you’ll perform critical analysis, gather requirements, and design solutions that improve processes and enhance system functionality. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless integrations and build tools that reduce customization needs while maintaining Paylocity’s high standards of service excellence.
Drive Client Success in the Business Analyst Role
As a Business Analyst, you’ll lead needs assessments, documentation, and reporting while mentoring peers and driving efficiency. Your expertise will help businesses realize maximum value from Paylocity’s cloud-based HCM platform through optimized workflows and informed data insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, analyze, and validate detailed functional and technical specifications
- Enhance systems by studying current practices and recommending improvements
- Collaborate across departments to prioritize needs and communicate project timelines
- Develop internal documentation and provide setup and support training
- Lead team meetings, organize project notes, and support change management efforts
- Conduct requirements gathering and create use cases/process models
- Maintain expert knowledge of Paylocity products and features
- Provide mentorship and assist new analysts and consultants
- Understand SQL/Tables and collaborate with development teams
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3–4 years in a Business Analyst role
- At least 3 years in a front-line, customer-facing position
- 5+ years in Payroll, HR, or related experience
- Knowledge of Accounting, including journal entries, A/P, and balance sheets
- Advanced understanding of cost and labor allocations
- Experience writing business specifications
