Position Summary
The Senior Analyst, Business Analytics will design, build, and optimize systems that transform raw data into actionable insights. You will create scalable pipelines, develop analytics-ready datasets, and automate reporting to guide strategic and tactical decisions within Commercial Operations. This role blends data engineering, analytics, and visualization, with opportunities to collaborate across IT, product, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain data pipelines integrating claims, specialty pharmacy data, HUB enrollment, 3PL shipments, chargebacks, and more into analytics-ready models.

Apply rigorous data quality checks, deduplication, and reconciliation logic to ensure accuracy.

Partner with IT to design scalable data environments using Snowflake/Databricks.

Develop dashboards with Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense to communicate insights.

Create advanced Excel solutions (Power Query, VBA/macros, pivots) to streamline manual processes.

Automate reporting for daily sales, incentive compensation, medical claims, and call activity.

Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Support cross-functional initiatives with ad-hoc analyses and reporting.
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

7+ years of relevant work experience required.

Strong proficiency in SQL; experience in Python preferred.

Familiarity with HTML/CSS a plus.

Previous pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.

Expertise in commercial data, life-sciences claims, BI tools, and data warehouses.
Skills & Abilities

Advanced SQL for complex queries with reproducible, auditable outputs.

Strong BI visualization skills (Tableau/Power BI/Qlik).

Advanced Excel (modeling, Power Query, VBA/macros).

Knowledge of dimensional and normalized modeling.

Understanding of ETL/ELT processes.

Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication skills.
Work Environment

Remote or on-site hybrid depending on candidate location.

Standard Monday–Friday business hours with flexibility upon approval.

Ability to use standard office equipment and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range:
-
National Market: $121,000 – $135,000 annually
-
Premium Market (LA, San Diego, SF, NYC, Chicago, Boston): $130,500 – $145,000 annually
