Position: Business Development Manager – Hummingbird® Digital Graphics

Location: Remote (East Coast preferred; 30–50% field travel)
Compensation: $100,000–$130,000 annually + variable pay (bonus eligible)
Job Summary
Georgia-Pacific Packaging is seeking a Business Development Manager for its Hummingbird® Digital Graphics Division, responsible for driving sales growth and optimizing business performance in digital packaging solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of packaging print processes, strong client engagement skills, and the ability to develop and execute sales initiatives that attract new trade clients.
The Business Development Manager will report to the Area Director of Sales and collaborate across teams to develop tools, marketing initiatives, and sales programs that accelerate revenue growth within the corrugated packaging sector.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and target corrugated industry trade accounts seeking digital pre-print solutions.

Develop and execute strategies to build and sustain client relationships.

Gain expertise in digital printing technologies to effectively communicate value to clients.

Collaborate with internal teams to craft customized packaging solutions.

Stay current with market trends and competitor activities to refine strategies.

Represent Hummingbird® at industry events, trade shows, and workshops.

Create pre-qualification criteria to assess potential new clients.

Partner with marketing to align trade market initiatives and communications.

Manage sales forecasting, CRM tracking (Dynamics), and deal closures.

Deliver impactful sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Qualifications
Required:

Proven success in solution-based sales or account management within the corrugated packaging industry.

Ability and willingness to travel 30–50% (by air or car).
Preferred:

Expertise in print processes (flexographic, lithographic, digital).

Background in graphic design, prepress, file and color management.

Experience managing high-graphic print or packaging projects.

Understanding of procurement, supply chain, and brand management functions.

Demonstrated ability to lead complex business development initiatives across teams.
