Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team in North Yorkshire. This exciting opportunity involves identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, generating leads, and assisting the Managing Director in the day-to-day operation of the business.
Our company specializes in plant hire services and the supply of quarried and recycled aggregates. While prior industry knowledge is beneficial, it is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct market research to identify new clients and business opportunities

Generate and qualify leads to build a strong sales pipeline

Develop and maintain long-term client relationships with key stakeholders

Monitor competitor activity and market trends to spot growth opportunities

Collaborate on developing systems and processes to meet sales goals

Support the Managing Director with business operations and management tasks

Represent the company professionally at meetings, client visits, and local events
Requirements & Skills

Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management

Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret market and sales data

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team

Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and time management

A proactive problem-solver with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

A full UK driving licence is desirable due to the nature of the role
