About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help grow our sales pipeline, build meaningful client relationships, and drive revenue. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing new business opportunities, qualifying leads from marketing campaigns, and helping convert prospects into long-term clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate, qualify, and nurture leads from outbound efforts and marketing campaigns

  • Conduct outreach via email, phone calls, and follow-ups to engage prospects

  • Present Aquasight’s smart water solutions and key value propositions to municipal clients

  • Understand client needs and tailor product recommendations accordingly

  • Set up discovery calls and meetings between prospective clients and Account Executives

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and prospects

  • Track, analyze, and report weekly/monthly sales performance and pipeline metrics

  • Stay current on product updates, industry trends, and customer success stories

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in business development, sales, or a similar client-facing role

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas

  • CRM and sales automation proficiency (e.g., HubSpot)

  • Strong organizational, data-driven, and task-oriented mindset

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Professional presence and polished email/phone communication

  • Familiarity with municipal/government sectors a plus (water/wastewater preferred)

  • Comfortable managing multiple leads and follow-ups simultaneously

  • Experience with MS Excel (spreadsheets, charts, and basic analysis)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
