Position Overview:
Nelson University is seeking a passionate and experienced Cafeteria Chef to join our food services team. The ideal candidate will be creative, service-oriented, and dedicated to providing high-quality meals in a Christ-centered environment. This role involves leading daily food preparation, maintaining kitchen safety standards, and fostering Christian hospitality on campus.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and oversee the preparation of nutritious meals for students and staff

Ensure compliance with food quality, safety, and sanitation guidelines

Work closely with the Food Service Director on menu planning and special events

Supervise kitchen staff and student workers

Manage inventory, food rotation, and minimize waste

Uphold a respectful, welcoming kitchen environment rooted in Christian values
Qualifications:
Required:
-
A lifestyle and faith commitment aligned with Nelson University’s values

At least 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or institutional food service

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
