Position Summary
JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Carpenter I to perform general carpentry and concrete tasks on construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and other project types. Carpenters will use a variety of tools and equipment to complete rough, finish, and concrete work, while upholding JE Dunn’s commitment to safety, quality, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Perform general carpentry tasks, including framing, forming, and installation of blocking, partitions, and safety equipment.

Set forms and assist with concrete placement, finishing, and tool maintenance.

Assist in door, frame, and hardware installation.

Follow OSHA safety standards and ensure PPE compliance.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Maintain a professional, reliable, and safety-first work ethic.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Working knowledge of carpentry hand tools and concrete tools (must own basic hand tools and pouches).

Basic understanding of layout principles and construction math.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions (heights, trenches, hot/cold environments).

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
Experience & Education

Experience: 0–2 years in carpentry or commercial construction preferred.

Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred; vocational/trade training a plus.

Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
