Job Summary

As a Carpenter at Granite, you will construct, install, repair, and maintain wood, plywood, and wallboard structures using both hand tools and power tools. This role includes on-the-job training, offering you the chance to strengthen your skills while contributing to high-quality construction projects that meet local building codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine materials and dimensions.

• Select and prepare lumber and other construction materials.

• Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials with precision.

• Build frameworks, flooring, stairs, partitions, and cabinet work.

• Install doors, window frames, trim, hardware, and weather stripping.

• Construct forms for pouring concrete and build scaffolding or ladders as needed.

• Apply paneling, flooring, and other finishing elements to structures.

• Ensure accuracy, durability, and quality in every build.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

• Carpentry training or hands-on experience required.

• Strong math, measurement, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to visualize projects from drawings and diagrams.

• Comfortable with physically demanding work including lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing scaffolds, and working at heights.
