Job Summary
The Carpenter supports hospital construction and remodeling projects by performing both basic and advanced carpentry work. This role includes reading blueprints and shop drawings, supervising helpers, and ensuring safe and efficient use of materials and building systems. The Carpenter may also assist other trades as needed to meet project deadlines.
In addition, the Carpenter demonstrates effective communication with supervisors, co-workers, patients, families, and visitors, while showing sensitivity to all cultural and religious backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities

Perform construction and remodeling tasks using carpentry skills

Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings

Supervise helpers and provide guidance on tasks

Safely operate carpentry tools and equipment

Assist other trades when necessary to meet project schedules

Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members

Interact respectfully with patients, families, and visitors

Qualifications
Education/Skills:

High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:

Previous carpentry experience preferred, but not required
Licensure/Certification (Required Upon Hire):

Valid Driver’s License

Good driving record
