Position Summary
The Cashier provides exceptional customer service while handling transactions in a fast-paced retail environment. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining company values and standards.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer service with care, empathy, and professionalism.

Process transactions accurately, including cash, checks, WIC, liquor, and tobacco sales.

Follow procedures for voids, refunds, and transaction recalls.

Maintain cashier productivity standards.

Keep the front end clean, organized, and presentable.

Adhere to company policies, food safety, sanitation, and loss prevention procedures.

Participate in cashier training and stay updated on compliance requirements.

Perform other store duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications

Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.

Ability to work well with diverse teams and engage positively with customers.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Reliable, approachable, and detail-oriented.
Physical Demands & Work Conditions

Walking/Standing: Continuously throughout the shift.

Lifting: Up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 30 lbs.

Ability to work in a busy retail environment.
Compensation
-
Hourly Pay: $16.50 – $29.00

Actual pay will depend on location, skills, experience, and training, in compliance with California Labor Code § 432.3 and local wage standards.
