Key Responsibilities of a Category Manager
Main Duties for the Category Manager Role

Develop and implement category plans that meet sales, margin, and profit targets.

Drive own-brand product growth, sourcing effectively to boost margins.

Lead annual supplier negotiations to secure competitive terms.

Gather and respond to customer feedback to shape and refine category strategies.

Communicate category objectives clearly across the business to ensure alignment.

Maintain the principles of good, better, and best across product displays.

Work as part of the senior team to enhance operations and identify improvement opportunities.
