Kirklees Council is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the kitchen team at All Saints High School, helping provide fresh and nutritious meals daily in a supportive school environment.

This is a perfect role for those seeking work-life balance, with term-time only hours, no evenings or weekends, and paid holidays at Christmas and on Bank Holidays. You’ll be part of a valued team that plays a crucial role in keeping students nourished and ready to learn.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Preparing and serving hot and cold meals in line with healthy eating guidelines

  • Supporting food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, and food safety procedures

  • Helping set up and clean the food service area

  • Collaborating with the school catering team to ensure smooth daily service

  • Being flexible and supporting teams across various school locations when needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • A positive, team-focused attitude

  • Good communication skills

  • Reliability and a willingness to follow food hygiene protocols

  • Some previous kitchen or catering experience is helpful, but not essential

  • Flexibility to adapt to different school environments (for mobile/flexi roles)
