Job Summary

The Catering Operations Manager oversees the successful planning, execution, and coordination of both on-site and off-site company events. This role requires strong organizational, leadership, and client service skills to ensure seamless events that exceed expectations.

You’ll collaborate closely with chefs, vendors, and clients while leading catering teams to deliver unforgettable experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to define event scope, expectations, menus, and budgets.

  • Plan menus in partnership with chefs.

  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.

  • Oversee execution of events through coordination with Event Managers and staff.

  • Recruit, interview, train, and lead permanent and casual catering staff.

  • Organize and manage event schedules and staffing plans.

  • Maintain accurate financial and administrative records.

  • Serve as liaison between clients, chefs, vendors, and sales teams.

  • Conduct post-event reviews to ensure quality and client satisfaction.

  • Resolve client concerns and oversee timely billing and payment processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience in hospitality or catering management (off-premise preferred).

  • Proven leadership in managing teams, vendors, and events.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Experience with budgeting, P&L, sales forecasting, and labor management.

  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

  • HR experience in hiring, training, and mentoring staff.

  • Strong presentation and client relationship-building skills.
