Car Hauler – USAL
About the Role
As a USAL Car Hauler, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles between manufacturing facilities, shipping ports, rail yards, terminals, and dealerships. You’ll work closely with our operations, safety, and administrative teams to ensure on-time, legally compliant, and damage-free vehicle deliveries.

What It Takes to Succeed at USAL
A great USAL Car Hauler is someone who:

Minimum Qualifications
-
At least 23 years old
-
Live within 150 miles of the assigned terminal
-
Valid Class A CDL with a clean, safe driving record
-
Valid DOT medical certificate
-
1+ year of OTR experience with a Class 8 tractor and 41’+ trailer
-
High school diploma or GED (or 2 years of auto transport experience within the past 5 years)
-
Ability to pass pre-employment screening & drug test
-
Successful interview and road test
-
English proficiency and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
-
Veterans with MOS 88M or 3531 experience may qualify under the Military Skills Test Waiver
Physical & Job Requirements

Climb in and out of the tractor cab & trailer
-
Sit for extended periods while driving
-
Walk, stand, bend, climb, push, pull, and kneel on uneven/slippery surfaces and in all weather conditions

Operate tractor-trailers safely, ensuring proper route planning & delivery schedules

Report defects, accidents, or violations promptly
-
Maintain professionalism in appearance and customer interactions
