Sysco Delivery Driver
💲 Starting Pay: $29.15 per hour
Job Summary:
Sysco is seeking a Delivery Driver to transport and unload products for our customers while ensuring excellent service and compliance with DOT regulations and Sysco safety standards. This role requires early morning shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver products on schedule, promptly reporting any deviations.
- Unload and place items in customer storage areas, sometimes navigating ramps, stairs, and docks.
- Handle products weighing 1-100 lbs, frequently bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Verify deliveries, obtain customer signatures, and report discrepancies.
- Collect payments when required.
- Load and return damaged goods, completing necessary paperwork.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain DOT logs.
- Adhere to SyscoSafe work methods and report any safety concerns.
- Keep tractor, trailer, and warehouse areas clean and sanitary.
- Attend company meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
📌 Education: High school diploma or GED.
📌 Experience:
- 2+ years of local food or beverage delivery experience.
- Pallet breakdown and hand cart delivery experience preferred.
📌 Requirements:
- 21+ years old with a valid Class B CDL and a clean driving record.
- 1-year commercial driving experience (or Sysco’s Entry-Level Driver Training Program completion within 12 weeks).
- Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and physical abilities test.
