Position Summary
DSG is currently seeking a full-time Overnight CDL Class A Delivery Driver at our Plymouth, MN location. This hourly position primarily operates between 7:00 PM and 4:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with occasional variations based on business needs. As an Overnight CDL Delivery Driver, you will be involved in all facets of warehouse operations, with your primary responsibility being the safe and efficient delivery of products to branches, customers, and job sites. This includes loading, unloading, securing, and transporting materials.

Requirements

Must hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a current medical card.
A Day in the Life of an Overnight CDL Class A Delivery Driver at DSG

Load the delivery truck safely following company policies.

Collaborate with warehouse associates to ensure proper product loading.

Conduct thorough inspections of trucks and trailers according to company and DOT standards, ensuring vehicles are in good working condition.

Promptly report any vehicle safety or maintenance issues to supervisors.

Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules.
-
Drive to various customer locations, typically within 150 miles of the branch.

Unload materials at customer sites or warehouses, following specific instructions.

Comply with DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations, completing all required training.

Follow DSG’s safety policies and vehicle safety programs diligently.

Maintain a clean driving record.

Assist with warehouse operations when not on delivery, including order pulling, packing, labeling, and proper staging for delivery.

Operate forklifts and use computer and RF scanners to manage inventory.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Be available for on-call emergency response rotations as needed.

Engage in site remediation, equipment decontamination, and safe handling of hazardous materials when applicable.
Successful Candidate Profile

Valid Class A CDL with a current medical card (mandatory).

Clean and acceptable driving record.

One to three years of relevant experience in product handling and warehouse/delivery operations.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize workload efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines.

Safety training in material handling and forklift operation.

Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.

Physical capability to lift, push, pull, or move items weighing between 70 and 325 lbs with assistance or mechanical aids.

Proficiency with computers and related technology.
