What You’ll Do

As an Equipment Operator at Dyno Nobel, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating company trucks and specialty equipment to deliver ANFO and other commercial explosives products to customers. Your key duties will include:

  • Driving and operating straight-bed vehicles on public roads to transport explosive products to company or customer locations in a timely and safe manner.

  • Operating bulk and blend trucks to prepare and deliver quality ANFO products.

  • Performing routine maintenance on straight, ANFO, and dewatering trucks (or smaller equipment), while adhering to Dyno Nobel’s Health & Safety Management System procedures.

  • Calibrating equipment, calculating fuel percentages, and checking emulsion density.

  • Loading and unloading trucks, maintaining magazines, job sites, and inventories.

  • Following all safety protocols to ensure safe working conditions on-site, during transportation, and equipment operation, protecting both personal and team safety.

  • Preparing and maintaining accurate records related to handling and transportation of explosives, including safety documentation and regulatory compliance, to support billing and performance tracking.


What We’re Looking For

  • Valid Class A or B CDL license.

  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (must be obtained prior to start).

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical work, commercial driving, explosives, or related fields preferred.

  • Ability to pass an ATF background check, as required for handling explosives.

  • Proficiency in English—reading, writing, and verbal communication.

  • Must be at least 21 years old.

  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a strong team player.
