Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused driver responsible for the safe delivery and pickup of storage containers to and from customer locations. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely service while maintaining strong, positive relationships with our clients. The ideal candidate will perform their duties efficiently and safely, following all company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a commercial vehicle equipped with a patented lift system to deliver and retrieve storage containers from customer sites, adhering to all safety protocols.

Complete and document thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift system daily.

Flexibly accommodate add-on deliveries as needed to meet business demands.

Use a company-provided handheld device for delivery verification, customer signatures, and GPS navigation.

Operate a forklift and/or overhead crane as necessary.

Clean, inspect, and maintain containers to ensure they meet standards before delivery.

Coordinate with customers on rental agreements and collect payments when applicable.

Communicate any customer concerns or delivery issues to the Driver Lead or Market Manager; document notes as required.

Perform basic repairs on containers and lift systems both in the field and at the storage center.

Provide occasional support with storage center operations as needed.

Maintain a clean and organized truck cab, both inside and out.

Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. The role typically reports to a Market Manager or Territory Manager.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) without air brake restriction

Must meet all PODS Driver Qualification Standards

Must be at least 21 years old (required by insurance policies)

Possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate or the ability to obtain one valid for at least one year (per DOT regulations)

Comfortable with using electronic devices and software (experience preferred)
