Job Summary
This position is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of containers at customer locations. The role requires maintaining excellent customer relationships while ensuring deliveries and pickups are completed incident-free and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift system to load and unload containers at customer sites, strictly adhering to all safety protocols.

Conduct and document thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lifting equipment daily.

Accept additional delivery assignments as needed to support business operations.

Utilize company handheld devices for delivery confirmation and navigation purposes.

Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as required.

Inspect and clean containers to ensure they meet presentation standards before delivery.

Manage rental paperwork and payment processing directly with customers.

Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries or concerns and prepare detailed driver notes when necessary.

Perform minor repairs on containers and lifting equipment both in the field and at the storage facility.

Provide support for storage center operations as needed.

Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the truck cab, keeping both interior and exterior free of debris.

Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
Management and Supervisory Responsibilities

This role reports directly to management, typically a Market Manager or Territory Manager.

The position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities such as hiring, firing, payroll decisions, or performance evaluations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Valid CDL Class B license without air brake restriction is mandatory.

Must maintain a current and valid driver’s license.

Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.

Minimum age of 21 years (insurance requirement).

Possess or be able to obtain a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate with at least one year of certification as required by DOT regulations.

Prior experience with electronic equipment and software is preferred.

Basic math skills sufficient to perform job duties.

Equivalent combinations of education, training, or experience will also be considered.

Must complete a mandatory 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
