Job Description
Central Market is seeking a Sales Representative in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you’ll be responsible for stocking, rotating, and selling products to both new and existing customers, ensuring the department is clean, organized, and well-merchandised. You’ll support customer needs and sales goals by applying basic knowledge of products, preparation techniques, and department operations.

Responsibilities
Sales & Stocking:

Provide excellent customer service

Organize and prepare the back area for deliveries

Keep the sales floor clear and clean

Stock, front, and rotate products to maintain freshness

Reset product shelves and update signage accurately

Inspect shipments for outdated or damaged items

Merchandise displays to support sales goals

Use suggestive selling techniques to increase customer purchases
Compliance & Safety:

Follow federal, state, and company safety, sanitation, and refrigeration standards

Maintain inventory control and minimize shrink

Ensure shelf tags and signage are correct
Preferred Experience & Education

0–2 years of retail or grocery experience

Product knowledge and food preparation skills (preferred)

Certification for materials handling equipment (a plus)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Customer service-oriented with a passion for food

Comfortable working in a fast-paced and temperature-variable environment
Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift/manage over 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs

Able to stand, walk, and work in cold or hot environments as needed
