CNA Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional patient care.
Respond to patient calls and determine the best way to assist.
Provide physical support for daily activities, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising.
Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent discomfort and complications.
Ensure patients or residents receive the appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences.
Gather information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses regarding patient conditions, treatment plans, and recommended activities.
Monitor and record food and liquid intake, as well as urinary and fecal output, and report changes to medical or nursing staff.
Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested.
Examine patients for any medical concerns, such as open wounds, bruises, or blood in the urine.
Remind patients to take prescribed medications and nutritional supplements.
Observe and report patient behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms to the nursing team.
Stay current on CNA training and adhere to facility policies and procedures.

CNA Requirements:

BLS certification.
Active Certified Nursing Assistant license.
High school diploma
