Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a short-term, 7-week contract assignment in Decatur, AL. The CNA will play a critical role in supporting residents’ overall health and well-being by assisting with daily personal care needs and ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Personal Care Assistance:
  Support residents with daily activities of living (ADLs), including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and feeding, while preserving their dignity and comfort.

• Monitor and Record Vital Signs:
  Accurately measure and document vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate, following standard clinical procedures and promptly reporting any abnormalities.

• Mobility and Transfer Support:
  Assist residents with mobility needs, including safe transfers between beds, wheelchairs, and other seating, as well as repositioning and ambulation, using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment.

• Documentation and Compliance:
  Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely records of resident care activities, ensuring all documentation aligns with facility protocols, healthcare regulations, and quality standards.

• Condition Monitoring and Reporting:
  Observe residents for any changes in physical, emotional, or cognitive condition and report concerns promptly to the nursing team to support timely interventions.

• Environmental Maintenance:
  Contribute to a safe and sanitary living space by keeping residents’ rooms, bathrooms, and shared areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.

• Resident Engagement and Companionship:
  Foster emotional well-being by providing companionship, active listening, and encouraging participation in recreational or therapeutic activities that promote mental and social stimulation.
