Certified Nursing Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

• Assist with resident mobility, including transfers, ambulation, and positioning.

• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and other relevant information.

• Report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.

• Maintain a clean and organized environment for residents.

• Ensure the safety and comfort of residents at all times.

• Respond promptly to resident calls and requests.

• Assist with meal service to ensure proper nutrition and hydration for residents.

• Document all care provided accurately and in a timely manner.

• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain resident confidentiality.

• Participate in team meetings and in-service training as required.

• Assist with restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.

• Observe and report skin conditions and pressure areas.

• Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.

• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications:

• Current CNA certification in accordance with state regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Ability to work well in a team environment.

• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.

• Ability to lift and assist residents as needed.

• CPR certification is preferred.
