Role Overview

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at OHSU, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care and supporting clinical teams. You will assist with daily living activities, medical needs, and documentation to ensure each patient receives high-quality, compassionate care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support patient admissions and discharges

  • Record accurate vital signs and weights

  • Complete CNA documentation related to admissions, daily care, intake/output, and discharges

  • Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, dietary needs, and personal care

  • Uphold and promote patient- and family-centered care

  • Report compliance concerns as outlined in OHSU’s Code of Conduct

  • Demonstrate ethical behavior, professionalism, and integrity

  • Perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation


Current Openings

Part-Time (Not Bonus Eligible):

  • Cardiovascular Intermediate Care Unit: 0.6 FTE, set schedule – Tuesday, Friday, Sunday (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)

Full-Time Day Shift:

  • General Surgery: 1 opening, 0.9 FTE

  • General Medicine: 1 opening, 0.9 FTE

  • Trauma Unit: 1 opening, 0.9 FTE

Full-Time Night Shift:

  • Float Pool: 5 openings, 0.9 FTE each


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Current Oregon CNA 1 Certification at time of hire

  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire
