Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Starting Pay: $17.00/hour (with increases based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time & Part-Time opportunities available
Location: Williamsburg Landing, VA
About the Role
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or designated charge nurse, the CNA delivers individualized daily care to residents, promoting their independence, comfort, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular rounds to ensure resident needs are met (toileting, hydration, repositioning, etc.)

Communicate shift changes, resident updates, and care needs during walking rounds
-
Observe and report symptoms, skin breakdowns, or health changes using “Stop and Watch” protocols
-
Provide personal care such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, and dressing
-
Assist with meals, monitor intake, and document accordingly
-
Take and record vital signs as per care plan
-
Assist with mobility, bladder/bowel training, and use of adaptive equipment
-
Maintain resident room cleanliness and assist with laundry
-
Respond promptly and compassionately to call lights and resident needs
-
Assist in resident admissions, discharges, post-mortem care, and documentation in MyUnity Point of Care
-
Ensure safety protocols and infection control standards are followed
-
Mentor and support new staff members
-
Participate in emergency drills, daily activities, and ensure a safe, engaging environment
Qualifications
-
Valid CNA certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia
-
Previous CNA experience preferred
-
CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner) designation and Agape CNA Skills Review completion required within 90 days of hire

Compassionate and resident-focused care approach

Strong communication skills (verbal and written in English)

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and perform duties requiring standing/walking for extended periods
