Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes including appetizers, entrees, and desserts
Handle all aspects of food prep including chopping, grilling, roasting, baking, and soup/stock production
Follow established recipes and culinary direction from the Lead Chef
Ensure all food is cooked in a timely manner with appealing presentation
Monitor food freshness and ensure proper storage and rotation
Maintain compliance with all kitchen health and safety regulations
Create and manage prep lists to support kitchen efficiency
Assist in experimenting with new recipes and ingredients to elevate the menu

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a high-volume kitchen
Hands-on experience with various kitchen tools and cooking techniques
Strong knowledge of culinary fundamentals and food safety standards
Ability to perform under pressure and multitask effectively
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Valid Food Handler’s Card
Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to open/close kitchen operations and complete side duties independently

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with baking and pastry preparation

Compensation
Hourly Rate: $24.00 – $30.00 (California)
This is a good faith estimate based on California market standards and may vary depending on experience, education, skills, and location.
