Chief Financial Officer – St. John’s Riverside Hospital, Yonkers, NY
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the hospital’s leadership team, overseeing financial strategy and operations for a $250 million integrated healthcare system. St. John’s Riverside Hospital provides acute care, inpatient and outpatient services, substance abuse treatment, and primary care to the Southern Westchester community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership of financial operations, including accounting, payroll, billing, collections, and financial reporting
- Contract negotiations with managed care and commercial insurers
- Cash forecasting, investment portfolio management, and financing strategies
- Regulatory compliance, tax reporting, and internal controls
- Oversight of risk management, business insurance renewals, and captive insurance governance
- Management of reimbursement and cost reporting for federal and state regulatory bodies
- Leading the annual budget process, financial audits, and GAAP compliance
- Building and developing high-performing financial teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting (CPA or MBA preferred)
- Minimum 15 years in senior financial leadership within healthcare, with CFO experience in a complex healthcare organization
- Experience in the New York healthcare system is a plus
- Proven ability to drive financial improvements in challenging environments
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
