Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting.

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities to ensure smooth cash flow.

  • Develop and implement financial best practices and tools for strong fiscal management, project coordination, and team workflows.

  • Ensure compliance with national and local financial requirements through updated knowledge of legislation.

  • Partner with senior managers on budget proposals, contract compliance, and grant reporting.

  • Research revenue opportunities, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.

  • Conduct risk management by evaluating company liabilities, investments, and capital structure.

  • Track and monitor business performance, establish corrective actions, and prepare reports for leadership and stakeholders.

  • Manage finance staff, oversee financial IT systems, and supervise payroll.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory entities (FASB, IRS, state attorneys general).

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of executive leadership experience in finance.

  • Strong leadership skills with integrity and strategic vision.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of advanced accounting, tax planning, and regulatory issues.

  • Proven ability to raise capital outside traditional credit lines.

  • Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business (or equivalent experience).

  • International finance experience.

  • Expertise in mergers & acquisitions and investor relations.

  • Experience with SaaS business models and revenue recognition.

  • CPA or equivalent professional certification required.
