Position Summary

As a key member of the Executive Team, the CFO is a strategic leader responsible for financial planning, reporting, risk management, and overall fiscal health of the organization. The CFO will oversee budgeting, forecasting, accounting, treasury, tax planning, capital allocation, M&A, procurement, and fleet & facilities management. This role reports directly to the CEO and regularly engages with the Board of Directors, auditors, bank partners, and industry peers.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Financial Leadership

  • Define and execute the financial strategy to support growth and mitigate risks.

  • Lead all financial controls, fiduciary responsibilities, and profitability goals.

  • Present financial data and insights to the Executive Team and Board of Directors.

  • Direct preparation of financial reports, budgets, cost analysis, and audits.

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.

  • Review trends and economic conditions impacting company performance.

Banking & Capital Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for the bank syndicate.

  • Negotiate credit facility terms, manage covenants, and provide timely reporting.

  • Oversee capital requests and approve large commercial deals.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead M&A, Procurement, Fleet, and Facilities functions.

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.

  • Champion a strong culture of professional growth and collaboration.

Corporate Engagement

  • Participate in cross-company committees such as Audit, Risk, and ERM.

  • Collaborate closely with the Board, CEO, auditors, and leadership teams.

Accounts Receivable Oversight

  • Lead the team responsible for collections and A/R management.

  • Monitor customer financial stability and manage bankruptcy processes.

  • Approve nonstandard terms for large accounts.

Qualifications

  • Education: BS/BA in Accounting/Finance required; CPA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

  • Experience: 15–20 years in finance within industrial or services environments, including at least 3 years as a sitting CFO.

  • Skills:

    • Proven leadership with high ethical standards and integrity.

    • Strong written/verbal communication and executive presence.

    • Board-level presentation and audit committee experience.

    • Expertise in financial strategy, planning, change management, and problem solving.
