Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations, and strategically guide The Walker House Inc. toward long-term sustainability and growth. This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and grant management.

• Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations, contracts, and audits.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for the Board.

• Develop internal financial controls and policies.

• Partner with program leadership to align financial strategies with clinical and operational goals.

• Maintain strong relationships with auditors, banks, funding partners, and regulators.

• Support sustainability and growth initiatives for behavioral health and recovery services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

• At least 5 years of financial leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit or healthcare setting.

• Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, grants, and funding compliance.

• Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

• Passion for behavioral health and recovery mission.
