ABI Construction Inc provides construction services in the Los Angeles, CA and Southern California area. We have been in business since 2011. Roofing has been a major component to ABI Construction and we have created a separate business to service residential and commercial roofing for ABI as well as other construction companies in our network – Roofing Division. Be it residential roofing or commercial roofing, our goal is to provide professional, timely service at a reasonable price.

I’m looking for a long term collaborative partnership with an experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead our roofing business – Roofing Division. You are passionate about creating a winning culture. You have an entrepreneurial mindset, business acumen, and you likely have experience running a small business or leading a key department of a larger business. You have a desire and drive to lead the growth and success of this business.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
===========
Lead and Manage the Business:
- Co-Create the strategic plan with the business founders, share creative ideas that support business growth, help determine our priorities and focus, and then drive the process to ensure business growth.
- Independently lead daily operations for the business.
- Set, track, and review business metrics & data that measure our progress towards our goals.
- Manage progress on our projects and ensure all details are handled to ensure jobs are organized and our customers are beyond satisfied.
- Proactively solve problems or issues that come up with customers, team members, suppliers, etc.
Optimize Processes:
- Fine tune and optimize our business operations infrastructure – improving processes, systems, technology, etc.
- Implement and manage the technology and tools we use in the business to optimize our processes.
- Implement and manage communication tools, systems, and meetings that support team collaboration.
Develop People Resources:
- Develop and nurture external relationships that will support the growth of the company (General Contractors, other Businesses, Suppliers, etc.).
- Grow and develop roofing crews to deliver and executive our service at a high level.
- Identify roles that need to be filled and help recruit, interview, hire and onboard new team members when necessary.
- Identify and manage training that our team members would benefit from.
- Communicate and document expectations in order to help team members succeed and grow in their role.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE
===========
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role leading business growth, managing the day-to-day operations, or the equivalent experience running a small business.
- Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment and taking ownership of business initiatives with setting goals, priorities, and KPI’s.
- Knowledge of business financials and the ability to manage and run a business in order to maintain healthy margins.
- Experience developing and implementing strong operational systems and procedures, and looking for inefficiencies that can be improved.
- Strong project management skill set and the ability to create and manage a project plan to bring an idea to life.
- Experience setting and implementing business strategy.
- Creative and efficient problem solving capabilities and the ability to proactively identify solutions when issues arise.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a willingness to communicate openly and give/receive feedback.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and plan ahead.
