What Does a Children’s Residential Support Worker Do?
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, every day brings new experiences. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting children through daily activities, fostering their development, and ensuring a structured yet fun environment.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Create a nurturing, safe, and positive space for young people.
- Provide essential emotional and practical support.
- Encourage and engage children in recreational activities, from sports to arts.
- Assist with meal preparation, school runs, and daily routines.
- Collaborate with a tight-knit team, including Managers, Multi-Disciplinary Teams, and Outdoor Specialists.
- Empower children to build confidence, resilience, and life skills.
What We Look for in a Children’s Residential Support Worker
- Experience working with children, either in care, education, or a related field.
- A compassionate and resilient approach, ready to handle challenges with patience and positivity.
- A commitment to ongoing training, including working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (if not already held).
