We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Cleaner to join our team at West Park Academy in Kirkby in Ashfield, NG17 8EE. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a part-time, term-time-only position with consistent hours and a supportive team environment. As a Cleaner, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment for staff and students.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cleaner, your duties will include:

Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting throughout the school premises

Cleaning washrooms and maintaining hygiene standards

Washing furniture, window cleaning, and occasional use of electrical cleaning machinery (e.g., buffing machines, wet pick-ups)

Following cleaning schedules and working independently to meet daily requirements

Completing deep cleaning tasks during school holiday periods
Hours and Pay

Hourly Rate: £12.26

Hours per Week: 10

Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only (+4 weeks for deep cleans)
About You
To succeed as a Cleaner, you’ll need:
Essential:

Ability to work effectively in a busy environment and as part of a cleaning team

Good communication skills

Willingness to follow health and safety guidelines
Desirable:

Previous cleaning experience (training will be provided)
