We are currently hiring a Cleaner to join our friendly and supportive team at Robert Mellors Primary Academy, part of the Redhill Academy Trust. Whether you’re experienced or looking to start a new role, this Cleaner position offers full training and a welcoming environment. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and positive space for our staff and pupils. This is a part-time, term-time role with flexible hours and additional holiday work, ideal for someone reliable and detail-oriented.
Cleaner Role – What You’ll Be Doing
As a Cleaner, you’ll be assigned a specific area of the school to maintain daily. Working Monday to Friday from 15:05 to 17:05, your role will ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. An additional 30 hours will be worked during school holidays, typically arranged with the Site Manager for deep cleaning.

Cleaner Position Details

Pay Scale: Redhill Academy Trust Band 5, Point 28

Actual Salary: £5,819 (FTE £23,656)

Hours: 10 hours/week (Mon–Fri, 15:05–17:05)

Term Time + 3 weeks (extra hours during holidays for deep cleaning)
