About the Role

We’re seeking a seasoned sales representative with direct freight brokerage shipper-facing sales experience to join our client, a growing and profitable brokerage firm. Responsibilities

  • Present, promote, and sell transportation services to prospective customers.

  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.

  • Conduct cost-benefit and needs analyses for new and existing customers.

  • Establish and maintain positive customer relationships.

  • Use multiple outreach channels (cold calling, messaging, conferences, LinkedIn, etc.) to reach prospective customers.

  • Expand wallet share with existing accounts.

  • Resolve customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate sales efforts.

  • Provide management with insights on customer needs, competitive activities, and growth opportunities.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to negotiate freight rates and fees effectively.

  • Familiarity with industry technology (rating tools, TMS systems).

  • Strong communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work remotely and independently.

  • Willingness to travel when needed.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

  • Detail-oriented with strong customer service focus.
