Sales Representative – Job Description

Position Summary:
As a Sales Representative at Echo Global Logistics, you’ll play a key role in growing our business by securing new clients through phone and email outreach. Your primary focus will be promoting a wide range of logistics solutions. You’ll manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and building relationships to providing exceptional customer service and overseeing operations. As your skills progress, you’ll have the opportunity to advance into a National Sales Representative role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively develop and maintain relationships with new clients to drive business growth

  • Source new opportunities and strategically penetrate targeted accounts

  • Use Salesforce to manage your sales pipeline and prospecting activities

  • Navigate Echo’s proprietary systems to handle daily operations such as invoicing, tracking, and account support

  • Collaborate across internal teams to ensure seamless processing of client transactions

  • Engage in ongoing learning to gain in-depth knowledge of the logistics industry, Echo’s services, and market trends


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Recent graduate or 1–2 years of sales or business development experience preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong focus on customer service and relationship management

  • Driven by financial success with a competitive and goal-oriented mindset

  • Confident and persistent cold caller with a positive attitude

  • Comfortable in high-pressure, fast-paced environments

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
