Position Summary

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary care team. This role is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating nutrition care in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, clinical guidelines, and hospital policies. The Dietitian will also collaborate with Nutritional Services to ensure accurate and safe food service delivery.

Essential Functions

  • Provide evidence-based nutrition care to patients within defined scope of practice

  • Complete annual competency testing and maintain professional licensure and registration

  • Participate in hospital strategic planning, budget development, and performance improvement programs

  • Conduct, trend, and act on data for key clinical nutrition indicators

  • Ensure safe and accurate oral nutrition therapy from the culinary department

  • Support survey readiness and compliance, taking corrective action when needed

  • Serve on hospital committees as required

  • Promote teamwork and collaboration across disciplines

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Dietetics/Nutrition or related field

  • Certification: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration

  • Licensure: State licensure/certification (if applicable)

  • Experience: Acute care experience preferred

  • Skills: Strong communication, computer literacy, and ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team

Physical & Work Environment

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs

  • Exposure to hospital environment including potential bloodborne pathogens and biohazards

  • Standard office and hospital noise levels
