Responsibilities
-
Conduct patient screenings and complete nutrition assessments and diagnoses based on clinical condition, age-specific needs, and cultural/religious factors.

Identify malnutrition and monitor/re-screen patients to adjust nutrition care plans.

Provide excellent patient communication, customer service, and follow-up.

Implement targeted nutrition interventions and deliver customized education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to contribute to overall patient care.

Support menu development for patients, cafeteria, and catering services.

Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and state health department regulations.

Participate in committees (Quality, P&T) and maintain infection control practices.

May serve as lead Registered Dietitian as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics/Nutrition (ACEND-accredited program).

Two (2) years of experience as a hospital clinical dietitian.

Experience with specialized populations (e.g., pediatrics, bariatrics, ICU) preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

ServSafe® Allergen and Food Handler certifications (within 12 months).

If not current, must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Pay Range: $39.18 – $58.28/hour (DOE)
