Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership in the planning, development, and implementation of pharmacy informatics and automation initiatives.

Support the maintenance, testing, and optimization of pharmacy systems, ensuring alignment with clinical workflows and regulatory standards.

Serve as a clinical and technical resource for pharmacy staff, offering guidance and training on system use and best practices.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve medication-related system issues and promote safe medication practices.

Participate in the development of clinical programs, such as antibiotic stewardship and safety initiatives aligned with National Patient Safety Goals.

Contribute to Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee efforts by preparing supporting documentation and implementing approved policies through informatics systems.

Represent the department in cross-functional committees and communicate changes or updates to relevant stakeholders.

Act as an educator and liaison on pharmacy informatics for nursing and medical staff.

Perform clinical and operational pharmacist duties as needed.

Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (Pharm.D. preferred).
Experience:

Minimum of three years of hospital pharmacy experience or completion of an ASHP-accredited hospital residency.
Licensure:

Must hold an active and valid California Pharmacist License.
