Requirements:

  • Active and unrestricted Texas Pharmacist License in good standing

  • Must reside within one hour of the Fort Worth location

  • Comfortable working 8-hour shifts primarily via phone-based interactions

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pharmacy operations, clinical oversight, or direct patient care

  • Willingness to pursue Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) is strongly preferred


Position Summary:

As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will provide expert guidance on pharmacotherapy, ensure safe and compliant medication practices, and support care coordination between patients and healthcare providers. You will act as a trusted resource to patients, physicians, and care teams while overseeing medication management activities.


Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive pharmacotherapy reviews and drug utilization evaluations

  • Provide patient education and counseling on new therapies and REMS program compliance

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and maintain detailed clinical documentation

  • Monitor treatment outcomes, manage therapy discontinuations, and maintain accurate patient charts

  • Act as a key liaison among patients, caregivers, nurses, and physicians

  • Participate in on-call support as required

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense medications in compliance with all regulations and physician orders

  • Verify prescription accuracy and supervise pharmacy technician tasks

  • Manage controlled substances and hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory guidelines

  • Document and report adverse events and product quality concerns

Professional Development:

  • Maintain continuing education (CE) requirements

  • Mentor pharmacy staff and participate in ongoing professional development activities

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Active Texas Pharmacist License in good standing (required)
